As part of Photo Saint Germain Festival
On the occasion of PhotoSaintGermain, delpire & co is pleased to bring together Caroline Corbasson, Pauline Julier, Caroline Reveillaud and Batia Suter for the exhibition SKY HEART WATER PAPER. These four artists have in common the idea of art as a vast field of research and experimentation. They take our natural habitat as their starting point, questioning it through observation, manipulation, research, collaboration, archiving and compilation. They apply this approach to the objects they apprehend with the same appetite for primary terrains, for questions linked to the Earth and the Universe.
In this way, they indiscriminately explore immense, spectacular territories, as well as more subtle, ordinary ones. Each of them has the intelligence and skill to manipulate the images they have gathered and/or created – moving them from one register to another, from one medium to another: whether editorial, photographic, cinematographic or installation. Caroline Corbasson, Pauline Julier, Caroline Reveillaud and Batia Suter also share a particular attention to the editorial object, each apprehending it with singularity, fluidity and precision. The bookshop delpire & co is pleased to present a work, a / of the books and a video by each of the artists as part of SKY HEART WATER PAPER from 2 November to 2 December 2023.
