La Villa du Parc has invited Caroline Reveillaud (FR, 1991) to create an installation for the art center’s veranda around her latest video Summa⎮⊙ ∫ .
Summa⎮⊙ ∫ is a film made up of landscape sequences filmed in Italy and elsewhere. While these scenes play out, we hear in Italian series of thoughts on the landscape as an object of esthetic emotion and philosophical representation of the world. The eye and the mind can wander through this film together or separately, mutually enlightening each other at times, getting lost at others, and in doing so, our own images and thoughts take over in turn.
